While boarding my flight to attend Unsilent Night in Dallas, Texas, I couldn't help the excitement that washed over me realizing this was my first Sleeping With Sirens show in two years (due to the pandemic of course), and I was getting ready to hear one of my favorite albums of all time front to back. Do you know those albums that you feel personally connected to because of the history you have with them? Almost as if you were long-time best friends? Let's Cheers To This happens to be one of those records.
Fans traveled far and wide for the Unsilent Night Music Festival on December 19th, 2021, and I had the immense pleasure of getting to know people who lived all across the country who came together in the name of music. Celebrating 10 years of an album doesn't seem so crazy until you learn all of the different personal stories of what this body of work meant to others, and in that way, you are all connected somehow.
Sleeping With Sirens' audience full of passionate fans, packed inside Gilley's Complex screaming every single lyric back at them, was the ultimate tell-all of their success over the years. The chemistry in the room was undeniable and hearing how beautifully the album aged since 2011 made the entire experience worthwhile.

The band delivered an outstanding performance with energy so magnetic the entire room was off of their feet as if the floor would cave in at any moment. The echoes from the crowd singing one of their classics, Do It Now, Remember It Later, left my ears ringing nearly 24 hours after leaving the venue.
A personal favorite of mine, All My Heart, was the highlight of the evening. Being a huge fan of ballads, I found myself extremely emotional during this particular part of the show from the song's raw romantic nature, and the melodious vocals from the Sirens' frontman Kellin Quinn. Sharing that experience with close friends around me for the first time made it even more special and a night I will never forget.
Overall, Unsilent Night held an immense amount of talent in Dallas that night. I had the pleasure of being able to watch Nessa Barrett for the first time. While I was not familiar with her music prior, her infectious smile and extremely honest dialogue regarding her personal experiences that prompted her to start writing music, were admirable.
Girlfriends, grandson, and KennyHoopla left quite the mark on the venue as well, inciting the most exciting and equally intense mosh pits I have seen in quite some time.
The event was a huge success in the end. I look forward to the new Sleeping With Sirens record set to come out soon, and the next music festival where we can gather safely and happily in the name of music.
